A very short list of things that made me lol'ed lately
Youtube comments. I never really saw the point of having a commenting system on Youtube until the day that my videos loaded so slowly that I had nothing better to read than the comments. Now I read the comments just for the comedic values they hold. Where else to you expect to see people calling other people "imbecile"? Oh, read this from the bottom up
Manbra? Menssire? Whatever you call them, they're lol-worthy.
Arrested Development. That show is hilarious, the Pencil Chewer was right.

Who's got iScrewed? Me
Earlier this year I bought myself a new ipod then a month later Apple announced a whole bunch of new iPods. When I found out about that what I thought was "Frack!". Well, I think the specific term for the predicament that I was in is "iScrewed". I didn't come up with that term, MadTV did and they even did a fraking awesome parody that captures the gist of my predicament. Watch it, it's funny I find it funny without caffeine so it's really funny OK.
The original commercial is here and the video of Feist's 1 2 3 4 is here. That is one of my favourite song this year and I liked it before it made it into the stupid iPod ad.
Still on the topic of parody, The Crazy Lecture Note Doodlers suggested that I should watch "The L word" which at the time I thought I might if I have nothing to do. Surprise surprise, I have nothing to do today so I checked out a few clips on youtube. Let me tell ya, that show has got to be the show with the most horrible opening credits ever. I wonder what was going on in the head of whoever that wrote that song, no actually I wonder what drug that person was taking when he/she wrote that song and what drugs the producers were taking when they approve the song for the show. Anyway, I digressed, I stumbled upon a parody of the opening credits of The L Word. It's hilarious. It's one of those instances when 2 very wrongs make 1 so so right.
The Parody
The Original. Watch it and cringe at the horrible song.
And last but not least I know what I want this Christmas: a Tickle Me Emo.

I needed a laugh, Youtube to the rescue
This post can also be titled: "I needed a post, Youtube to the rescue". But seriously, I've been hoarding these videos for post-less days like these. So here goes a bunch of videos of misheard lyrics and visual misinterpretation of said misheard lyrics. They're funny in the lame geeky way.
My Chemical romance - famous last words
My chemical romance - the black parade
Fall out boy - this ain't a scene, it's an arm race
Nirvana - smell like teen spirit
System of a down - BYOB
Evanescence - call me when you're sober
So there you go, wasn't that fun? If you don't find this funny then what is wrong with your sense of humour? More on youtube.

I don't read the bible, I don't trust disciples
First time I had read the Bible
It had stroke me as unwitty
I think it may started rumor
That the Lord ain't got no humor
I stumbled upon this today, an anti-bible song, this will probably be the song I play every Sunday. Gogol Bordello is awesome for making this.

Pownce: gender-confused friendly
So I managed to get one of the "highly coveted" invitation to join Pownce. If you're sitting there going "Pownce, what's that?", you're not the only one. I didn't know of its existence until I read a post from a blog that's giving out invitations for Pownce. Apparently, it's a micro-blogging platform similar to Twitter. And if you're going "Twitter, what's that?" like my sister, it's a blogging service like blogger but it's for the ADHD generation. You basically just write one or two sentences per post and you can post as frequently as you like. I thought it would be nice to get a Twitter account a while back but then changed my mind. What the heck am I gonna blog about if I can blog every minute? It might resemble something like this:
5:55am, just woke up, gonna go wash my face
6:00am, finished washing my face and worrying about new zits, gonna get breakfast now
6:30am, finished breakfast gonna get changed to go to uni
7:00am, in the car, omg my mum is listening to nursery rhythms
8:30am, in lecture theatre, gee, we have that bore for biochem YET again
Ok,you get the picture. Seriously, I barely have anyone reading my once or twice a week blog, who would be interested in me enough to read my twitters and I doubt my friends would even be interested in what I do.
Anyhow, back to the topic of Pownce. I thought it would be a nice time to try this micro-blogging thing, besides I like trying web2.0 things when they're in alpha stages. So I signed up with the invitation, the sign up process is simple enough but then I reached the gender questions. Gone were the days when you can give a simple, definitive answer to this question. What I got on the drop down list is this
Huhm, so hard to choose, I didn't know that a chick is a completely different gender from a girl and a lady. And guess what? all of those aren't female either. No wonder why there are so many gender-confused people around these days. For instance, the other day I was at Flinder street station and there was this person walking in front of me. From this person's back I would say that it was a girl/chick/lady/female half the the population. Then the person turned around and it was a guy/dude/gentleman/male. It's just that he was wearing skinny jeans the way girls/chicks/ladies/females usually do, pink, long and tight t-shirt (in winter, gee talking about a case of hypothermia waiting to happen) and flip-flops (I don't want to use the word thongs, which is what we call flip-flops here in Australia because really how can I know if anyone is wearing thongs, the underwear, unless they wear them outside their normal clothes). What made me decided that he was a female was the way he walked. He walked with a prominent sway in the hips like the way female models do.
So the point of all this is to say the whole thing with the dude that looked like a chick is weird and that Pownce should include an option on their registration form for gender-confused people who do not belong to any of the categories they have there already. But then they'll be in the none-of-the-above category.
Back to Pownce, after finally settling my confusion over what exactly is my gender I finally logged on. And what a disappointment was Pownce. It's basically a place where you can share things with your "friends". It's more like a messenger than a micro-blogging platform. And we all know what I think of instant messengers, don't we? Maybe I should make new friends and possibly they can pownce me some leak albums.
That's it for now, before I go though, here's a video (that you might have seen already) that I've just discovered today: What if God had a myspace.
What if God Had a MySpace

does it really need to be this drastic?
A video my sister came across on youtube. I don't know what she was looking for when she found this video but definitely not looking for glue to make double eyelids. Oh man, those Japanese women are crazy for double eyelids. I never really understand why, maybe just because I was born with double eyelids. Enjoy.

Brokeback Mountain - Christian edition
An old segment from last year "Chaser's War". This is why I bother watching TV at all this year.
So you're saying I'm a coward.
I've got a comment this week that kinda pissed me off. I'm not a person who gets pissed off easily by a comment. Maybe that's because I don't get that many comments and all of the comments I receive so far has been sort of constructive with the exception of Chuck.
So how did this comment leaver managed to piss me off? Ok, here's "How to piss me off with a comment 101"
- Don't write anything, just give me a link to some Christian site
- Make sure it's not a hyperlinked text i.e. make me highlight the link, copy and paste it to the address bar. Jeez that's like 2 seconds of my life wasted there already.
- Be damn sure that the article I will have to read is long-winded, pointless and subtly insulting as well.
That was what Betsy did to me and that is what I'm gonna do to you, my dear readers, so that you can feel my pain. This is the address:
http://www.christiananswers.net/evangelism/beliefs/atheism.html
Ok, I'm not that cruel, the site is here but don't read it. I almost fell asleep reading it and miss the paragraphs where the author insults my intelligence. How do you know that there is no conscious existence after death? The main reason that people claim to not believe in an afterlife is that they think that the idea is a naive wish-fulfillment in the face of the fear of death.
Credit where credit's due, the author's spot on with these 2 sentences. I do think that God and his paradise should be put in the same box as the Tooth Fairy and Santa Claus as it's all "naive wish-fulfillment in the face of the fear of death". But?But disbelief in an afterlife could have the same intellectual status. It could be the hopeful wish that there might be no accountability to anyone after we die, and the hope that there is no intrusive authority in our lives before that time.
Now I'm insulted. You're saying I'm a hopeful, sinful coward who's petrified at the prospects of being judged by a supreme being, who created time but is outside of time (wtf?), at the end of days. So petrified that I'm in denial of the said supreme being. Excuse me, I feel the need to go into a corner, wrap myself in my beloved security blanket and whimper with fear of the wrath of God before turning that fear into steely denial of God's existence.
If I'm what you suggested I am, I would have believed, even though deep down I'm always a skeptical, in God and all that crap. There's no evidence that God exists or not but if you choose to believe in his existence you stand to lose nothing and gain everything. Here are 2 scenarios.
Scenario 1: you believe in God even though you're skeptical all your life then you die and find out that there's no God, no paradise, nothing. So what does it mean? You wasted all your life believing in something that isn't there and end up in the same place as the evil atheists, the non-believers and everybody else. You lose nothing but a lifetime of believing.
Scenario 2: you believe in God even though you're skeptical all your life then you die and find out that, surprise surprise, there's a God and there's paradise and everything the Bible says there should be. You stand to gain entrance into paradise because you never denounce God outright.
So I guess the smart choice for me if I'm a coward, who fears retribution at the end of days, would be to immediately denounce my atheism and open my heart to God or so to speak. However I don't find anything wrong with not believing in some outdated ancient beliefs. What's wrong is killing people because they don't believe in the same thing as you or because they are different. What's wrong is believing in some ancient text which approves of slavery and rape and which claims itself to be the exact words of God.
If you're thinking I've finished being pissed off, you're wrong. That was just mild annoyance. Here's what actually pissed me off big time:Why the Atheist doesn't exist
There can be no such things as an atheist. This is why: Let's imagine that you are a professing atheist. Here are two questions for you to answer: First, do you know the combined weight of all the sand on all the beaches of Hawaii? We can safely assume that you don't. This brings us to the second question: Do you know how many hairs are on the back of a fully-grown male Tibetan yak? Probably not. It is therefore reasonable to conclude that there are some things that you don't know. It is important to ask these questions because there are some people who think they know everything.
Let's say that you know an incredible one percent of all the knowledge in the universe. To know 100 percent, you would have to know everything. There wouldn't be a rock in the universe that you would not be intimately familiar with, or a grain of sand that you would not be aware of. You would know everything that has happened in history, from that which is common knowledge to the minor details of the secret love life of Napoleon's great-grandmother's black cat's fleas. You would know every hair of every head, and every thought of every heart. All history would be laid out before you, because you would be omniscient (all-knowing).
Bear in mind that one of the greatest scientists who ever lived, Thomas Edison, said, "We do not know a millionth of one percent about anything." Let me repeat: Let's say that you have an incredible one percent of all the knowledge in the universe. Would it be possible, in the ninety-nine percent of the knowledge that you haven't yet come across, that there might be ample evidence to prove the existence of God? If you are reasonable, you will be forced to admit that it is possible. Somewhere, in the knowledge you haven't yet discovered, there could be enough evidence to prove that God does exist.
Let's look at the same thought from another angle. If I were to make an absolute statement such as, "There is no gold in China," what is needed for that statement to be proven true? I need absolute or total knowledge. I need to have information that there is no gold in any rock, in any river, in the ground, in any store, in any ring, or in any mouth (gold filling) in China. If there is one speck of gold in China, then my statement is false and I have no basis for it. I need absolute knowledge before I can make an absolute statement of that nature. Conversely, for me to say, "There is gold in China," I don't need to have all knowledge. I just need to have seen a speck of gold in the country, and the statement is then true.
To say categorically, "There is no God," is to make an absolute statement. For the statement to be true, I must know for certain that there is no God in the entire universe. No human being has all knowledge. Therefore, none of us is able to truthfully make this assertion.
If you insist upon disbelief in God, what you must say is, "Having the limited knowledge I have at present, I believe that there is no God." Owing to a lack of knowledge on your part, you don't know if God exists. So, in the strict sense of the word, you cannot be an atheist. The only true qualifier for the title is the One who has absolute knowledge, and why on earth would God want to deny His own existence?
The professing atheist is what is commonly known as an "agnostic" - one who claims he "doesn't know" if God exists. It is interesting to note that the Latin equivalent for the Greek word is "ignoramus." The Bible tells us that this ignorance is "willful" (Psalm 10:4). It's not that a person can't find God, but that he won't. It has been rightly said that the "atheist" can't find God for the same reason a thief can't find a policeman. He knows that if he admits that there is a God, he is admitting that he is ultimately responsible to Him. This is not a pleasant thought for some.
It is said that Mussolini (the Italian dictator), once stood on a pinnacle and cried, "God, if you are there, strike me dead!" When God didn't immediately bow to his dictates, Mussolini then concluded that there was no God. However, his prayer was answered some time later.
Excerpted from God Doesn't Believe in Atheists by Ray Comfort
What I'm wondering is:
- Who the frack decides that the definition for the word "atheist" is "some pain in the ass who knows everything including the weight of all the sand in the world"? The definition from Dictionary.com is "a person who denies or disbelieves the existence of a supreme being or beings" and that is the definition that I use, sorry to disappoint.
- Would it be possible, in the ninety-nine percent of the knowledge that we haven't yet come across, that there might be ample evidence to prove the non-existence of God?
- To say, categorically, "There is a God" is to make an absolute statement. For the statement to be true, you must know for certain that there is a God. No human being has all knowledge. Therefore, none of us is able to truthfully make this assertion.
- Who says atheists are agnostics? They are completely different. Even though I'm no linguist, the origin of the word "agnostic" is the Greek word "ágnōtos" which means "not known, incapable of being known" whereas the Latin word "ignōrāmus" is a legal term that means "we do not know" originally. The word "Ignoramus" has its modern meaning of "an ignorant person" because of a 1615 satirical play by George Ruggle which poked fun at the ignorance of common lawyers. So I guess what I'm trying to say is even if ignōrāmus is the Latin equivalence of ágnōtos it wouldn't mean that agnostics or atheists are ignorant. Who's the ignorant one now?
- This paragraph just kills me:It is said that Mussolini (the Italian dictator), once stood on a pinnacle and cried, "God, if you are there, strike me dead!" When God didn't immediately bow to his dictates, Mussolini then concluded that there was no God. However, his prayer was answered some time later.
Of course everybody dies eventually. That is not the evidence that there is a God. How about some Christian try saying this: "Zeus, if you are there, strike me dead!"? If you are not stroke dead immediately it doesn't mean that Zeus doesn't exist coz eventually you'll die and it might be because of Zeus.
- "God doesn't believe in Atheist". Presumptuous much? You are not God, how can you know what he does or does not believe in? Do you hear him talking to you coz really you should see a psychiatrist since it can be a mental illness you have here.
Ok, now I've finished being pissed off. Let's get on with what I wanted to post in the first place. Here's a George Carlin routine for you enjoyment.

Lazy post
I know I've been absent for a while now. I think I've got this condition called blogger-block. There's just nothing to write about. Ok, I'm just lazy and can't be bothered to find anything to write about so the condition I've got is just pure simple laziness.
I expect myself to get over this condition pretty soon. In the mean time here's a funny video from youtube.
And this one too, however, it's just SO WRONG and so funny.

various ways to explain evolution to the masses
Let's see, there's the fundie way to explain evolution that went something like this:
EVOLUTION DIDN'T HAPPEN, GOD CREATED THE UNIVERSE AND EVERYTHING ELSE WITH A SNAP OF HIS FINGERS. DON'T THINK, DON'T ASK QUESTIONS JUST BELIEVE ELSE YOU'LL GO TO HELL.
That's quite a short, easy and boring way that explains NOTHING. Of course various year 12 text books can actually be more accurate and informative on the subject that that's also boring and I'm not here to bore you with text books.
So if you're looking for a non-boring way to explain evolution, you can always look at South Park. I'm not gonna guarantee that it's very informative and accurate though at least it's better than what fundies say.
If you don't like that explanation (what's wrong with you? that was funny!). You can always try The Family Guy's take on the subject. Again, I'm not guarantee anything but fun. If you don't find this funny, I have nothing else to say but "your sense of humour sucks"

everything about the bible sucks
I know I kinda said that before, somewhere, in my mini-jungle of blog posts in one way or another. Mostly by pulling out ridiculous quotes from the Bible.
So you're probably wondering if I'm gonna do it again today. The answer is "NO", thankfully. I'm having this huge headache (from listening to music nonstop since morning with my brand-spanking-new, ass-kicking-cool headphones) and frankly bible quotes just make my head hurts more.
No, I'm not gonna pull out quotes, I'm pulling out a video. I used "everything about the bible sucks" as the title because, really it does suck but video games based on Bible stories, man they suck even worse.
Maybe the motivation behind this video is because JamesNintendoNerd hates ripoff games but hell, I'm gonna use this for the Atheist cause anyhow.

I'm just terribly confused!
It's not everyday that you catch me terribly confused. I can be mildly confused on a regular basis when it comes to statistics calculations or whether I have to use the mortar and pestle or a beaker when mixing solids and semi-solids or when it comes to paradoxes like "I always lie".
Anyhow I found myself terribly confused today all thanks to a fundie.
Since getting broadband internet Youtube's become my favourite site, true you can find weird stuff on Youtube like this Japanese game show.
But then you can also find quality stuff like the entire Jonathan Miller's Atheism series from BBC4. And let's not forget my favourite ABC show at the moment: "The Chaser's War on Everything". Yay, Youtube rules.
Ok, I think I've gone off the topic considerably. I was terribly confused about this. Back when I was still a Catholic I've always take comfort from the fact that "God loves everybody". Really, that particular fact was instilled in my mind since forever. I think if you ask any Christian they'll tell you that. What get me confused is how someone, who's a self-proclaimed Pastor, can say with absolute certainty that God hates everybody (with the exception of said pastor and his family).
The pastor I'm talking about is Fred Phelps of the Westboro Baptist Church. My "terrible confusion" started when I saw this Chaser segment a while back.
At the time it just seemed funny coz that's what the Chaser gang do, they make fun of politics, religions and everything else especially Naomi Robson hence the name of the show: "The Chaser's War on Everything". So strictly speaking my "confusion" didn't start then, it started when I read a post from Deep Thoughts featuring an awesome interview with Shirley Phelphs Roper.
Yup, that was the exact moment when it started. What do you mean "god hates everybody"? So all those Catholic nuns were lying to me when they told me that God love everybody including me and especially me if I make it to confession at least once every month and say at least 50 Hail Mary's every night? My goodness! My childhood teachings from the nuns are lies. Who could have known?!
So to resolve my confusion, I researched this extraordinary claim made by the Phelphs. Where could I go? Where else but their own website Godhatesfags.com. I'm gonna be completely unbiased here and say this, the site is one of the worst badly designed site I've ever seen. If you know anything about the web it's that graphics attract. That site is just full of words, it's just a big turn-off. And that is before I even read the contents of what's actually there.
So what is on that site? A lot of bullshit of course. Take "God loves everybody - the greatest lie ever told" for example. While I was reading it I couldn't help but wondering is this guy nuts? All he succeeds in doing is presenting a picture of a malevolence God who hates everyone except for the members of the Westboro Baptist Church. Seriously, I thought the "good" pastor was trying to persuade people away from God. And I must say, he's quite persuasive. If I was a Catholic still I would have renounced the Christian God after I read the first 5 pages of the file. Who can believe that such ghastly individual can claim to be a Christian? Ok, I know, bad rhetorical question. It's not like every Christian is a peace-loving person, the majority of them are anyhow.
Fred Phelphs picks a fight with everyone not just "fags". Let's see, his other websites include GodHatesAmerica.com, GodHatesSweden.com, GodHatesCanada.com and coming up very soon GodHatesEveryoneButMeAndMyFamily.com. I'm just wondering why he hasn't pick a fight with Muslims yet maybe he did learn something from September 11. Something like the cause of 9/11 isn't "the wrath of God on a perverted country" but it's just a plain simple hate crime on a massive scale. Here's Fred Phelphs picking a fight with televangelists.
I must say here, he's quite right to some very small extent though. Televangelists and faith healers are just ridiculous. How can giving money to someone who's already rich get you into heaven? And what's with the touchy feely stuff to cure people of incurable diseases? I'd say it's ridiculous anyone would believe that but I wouldn't go as far as to say "you're pastor is a whore" though.
Fred Phelphs isn't the only one who's sprouting bullshit like this. All of the people from his "church" are like this. It's quite understandable really since there are only 70-something people in this so-called church, it's more like a hate inciting club than a church if you ask me, and I suspect they're all his family. See, the thing is the "good" pastor has 13 children, 54 grandchildren (to date) and 5 great grandchildren (to date). Yeesh, 13 children! Have these people heard of birth control? You know the plastic thingy you slip on so that your wife doesn't have to get pregnant every year?
So 13+54+5 = 72. Wow, I don't know why he bothers calling it a church. It's a family, why not call it a "family"? How do I know there are 70-something people in his church? Well, I got it right from the horse's mouth, or in this case from the horse's daughter's mouth.
That video is just too damn funny. What else is better than people yelling over other people? the whole time I was watching that I was hoping for a cat fight, wouldn't it be fun watching 4 women fight it out on TV? I myself wanna strangle that Phelphs woman. I would have if I was the host. Ok, I'm getting serious now. That video is just sad. I feel sad for the daughters. They said it themselves, they don't have friends outside of their "church" which consists of their psycho grandfather, their equally psycho mother and their various uncles, aunts and cousins.
So there I think I've resolved my "confusion". God doesn't hate everybody, so everybody who believes there's a god can relax now. It's just a psycho family inciting hate. For the atheists out there, I don't suppose it would make any difference if god does or does not hate everybody. What I get out of this is frustration. How can people stand by and let psychotic fundies like these terrorising grieving families of dead individuals? I don't have to tell you how pleased I was when I watch the guy from the Chaser gang flirting with Fred Phelps' son. We need a round of applause for that performance even though it's original purpose is to make fun of weird people.
If you're not from Australia or you've never heard of the Chaser, Micheal Moore took on Fred Phelphs too and I must say it's really really REALLY satisfying to watch this video.

holy banana or how to prove God exists with a banana
Yes, fundies can prove that God exists with nothing but a banana. Bear with me, this is a very short video and it's worth it, not like the pseudoscience crap I had on yesterday.
Gee, I think I'm gonna have nightmares which are gonna feature bananas exclusively from now on. To tell you the truth, I've never liked the taste of bananas. I don't suppose God create banana to suit everybody's taste then. And how about this, the stupid banana fits in the hand of monkeys and chimpanzees too. Are you sure we're God's intended recipients of bananas?

An update for "6000 year-old earth"
Remember that boring post I did a few days ago about people believing that Earth and the Universe was created 6000 years ago and all the proofs are provided by the Bible?
Well here are some more proofs that the Earth is created 6000 years ago and they don't all come from the Bible. It's one long video so I suggest you find something salty to eat while watching. You seriously need more than a pinch of salt with this. Maybe a ton of salt should be just enough.
I suppose you're probably bored out of your mind by the pseudoscience-sprouting, lab coat-wearing, self-appointed "scientist". Here's a shorter, funnier video. No it's not gonna turn you into an atheist, it's just gonna try to persuade those creationists out there that they're more or less idiots. Try to incorporate some science into religion if you don't want a massive amount of followers to start asking logical and legitimate questions about your dogma.

useless, FUN, time-wasting tid bits (children, please keep out!)
I recently found out that an old friend of mine is married. My first thought when I heard that is 'wow', my second thought is 'what the heck, you're too young to be married!'. It's quite disturbing for me to imagine anyone who is as old as me, or in this case as young as me, would want to get married and have children. Maybe it's just me but I think the best time to be married is after 25. Why 25? I don't know, not too old to have children but old enough to have enjoyed single life I guess.
What's more disturbing is that I know the 2 of them would get straight down to the business of making children since they're hardcore Christians. No siree, we don't want anything unnatural about sex, not those plastic thingies.
If you're wondering what the heck the title of this post is about, well I'm a responsible person most of the time so I like to give out warnings when I feel like it. This post is definitely MA rated and the stuff above is nothing compared to the stuff I'm gonna put below here. There's gonna be a song list full of songs (duh! what else can a song-list list?) about the same topic, there's gonna be 2 minute of snogging video and last of all there's gonna be a huge comic page of R rated nature. There, that's warning enough, that's responsible enough of me.
Ok, let's get down to the list. A few months ago I found a strangely funny list on Wikipedia. It's a list of songs about masturbation. 'Strange? Why strange?' you may ask. Well, strange because someone would write much less sing about such topic and stranger still, someone would compile a list of those songs. Now these songs can have pretty straight forward titles such as "I touch myself", "Touch of my hand" or "ode to masturbation" or highly cryptic titles such as "communist daughter" or "weenie in a bottle".
Please don't ask me how I come across this list. I might have been researching STDs and a link piqued my curiosity. One thing I'm sure, I wasn't looking for them in the first place.
Now that I've finished defending my questionable character, here's the link to the list. I'm sure you'll have a laugh at some of those title.
Alright, next on the list, 2 minute of snogging. I'm sure you've seen people kiss before. I see it all the time on the train. However, I've never seen 2 girls do it on a train. Why I wonder.

the bored, the procrastinator and the can't-be-bothered
One thing I discovered about myself this year is that I'm an accomplished procrastinator. So accomplished that I even delayed acknowledging that I'm a procrastinator. But then again, that might have something to do with self-denial.
So what have I done this past week when I've finally gotten loose from the shackles of exams? What could I have done? Play games till I'm too tired to move, read books until I can't read anymore and delay writing anything on this blog. That doesn't seem to be a lot but trust me it's very time consuming.
I had planned to update this blog's template this holiday but somehow every time the template codes come up I can't be bothered sifting though all those codes and number to make a new template. So the template has got to wait until I can be bothered again. Probably next month at the soonest.
So between playing games, reading books and occasionally watching some DVDs I haven't the time to do anything else (apart from eating, sleeping and all that normal stuffs). No wonder I'm bored. TV hasn't yielded anything good now that "the glass house" has been axed and both "the Chaser's war on everything" and "thank god you're here" have gone on holiday until next year. Is there any good show that's on? Please don't suggest "my name is Earl" or any sitcoms because the thing I hate most is ads-ridden sitcoms. One moment you're laughing your ass off, the next moment you're watching mind-numbing, neuron-killing ads after ads.
Talking about ads, there was this Optus ad I saw this morning. It was more like those "bright ideas" ads, you know, the type of ads that goes on and on about how good whatever crappy products they want to sell to the gullibles are? To give credits where it's due, the offer from Optus wasn't half bad. Just saddle yourself with Optus for 2 years on home phone and internet and you'll get a laptop for free (lots of small writings follow of course). However, the ad ended with something to the effect of "there has never been an offer like this from anyone else" (which might be true). This particular sentence made it to today's "thought of the day" (I can still frakking think after all those hours playing games and reading novels, thank God the vacuum). How the hell does this persuade people to go for Optus? Because there's never been a better offer from the past? That doesn't mean there won't be a better offer from somewhere else in the future! It means that I should wait for a while more for a better deal, you frakwits!
My current obsession, along with reading and playing games, is Youtube. I know it's not something new but Youtube isn't very accessible when you have a fraking dial-up connection. I still haven't got broadband yet so Youtube is painfully slow. The only consolation is that it's faster than downloading with bittorrent. Surprise, surprise I found BSG season 3 on Youtube. I swear, once I've got broadband I'll live on Youtube and keep the TV just to play games and watch DVDs.
It's been a while since I've posted any Youtube videos, so here it is. If you're a fan of Thank god you're here, this is probably not as funny as the first time you watch it. But it's one heck of a performance. In my opinion, it's the best performance in the whole second series. Enjoy.
P.S. too bad this video is saddled with Hungry Jack's ads. Well, at least you don't have to watch a whole minute of ads.
