ok, so Steve Irwin is dead

It took a while for that to sink in but now that SI is dead, news programs are just so full of SI related news. Seriously, if I'm Steve Irwin, I would just want people to stop talking about me when I'm dead.
What I hate most about all this is that current affairs show like ACA or Today tonight just blow everything out of proportion, like they usually do. Yesterday, the piece on Steve Irwin from ACA or today tonight had this "exclusive source", a man who they claimed to be a long-time friend of Steve Irwin. Here's how the interview went (more or less).

ACA: So mr (I can't remember his name), you've been a long time friend of Steve Irwin, can you tell us about that?
Interviewee: Yes, I've known Steve Irwin for 4 days and that was the best 4 days of my life.

I swear I didn't make that up. The guy was introduced to be a long time friend and he admitted that he knew Steve Irwin for the last 4 days of his life. What the heck does long time mean? Certainly not 4 days. This is not exaggeration, this is just full of bullshit.
