what's wrong with the internet today?

I went online to download the last episode of Chasers' war on everything and abc.com.au is down. So I thought, nevermind that I'll jump on youtube and watch it there. And guess what? Youtube is also down for maintenance. Went back to abc.com.au, still down but this time I saw this headline "Steve Irwin dead" or something to that effect.

You might wonder who the heck is Steve Irwin, like I did for about 2 seconds before I realized that he's that crocodile guy who dangled his son in front of a crocodile a few years back. That just made Micheal Jackson looked good coz MJ only dangled his son a few metres above ground level.

So he's dead. I'm still coming to terms with this, no more Steve Irwin jumping around a crocodile. Life is so sad. No one is going to replace Steve Irwin. However, I'm thinking that this is just a hoax, how can Steve Irwind die? Maybe that's why abc.com.au is down at the moment. Maybe some hacker hacked in, left the hoax and now they have to pull abc.com.au down to fix it.

Anyhow, Yahoo news is reporting that abc.com.au reported that "Steve Irwind died from a stingray barb to the heart". That sounds like material for some day soap opera.
